He went on to spend three years playing for Coventry and his quick pace and skilful runs threatened the entire premier league. In the summer of 2001 he signed for Aston Villa and is now playing his football in Germany.

He played a key role in the four clubs that he played in and during the 1997-98 season he was arguably one of the best players in the top flight. He scored a total of 16 goals for West ham during the 97-98 campaign which resulted in him in being one of the leading goal scorers in the premiership. His goals also helped them finish 8th in the premiership.
Hartson also enjoyed a very successful spell playing for Coventry City.

Darren Huckerby

Huckerby started his career off with Lincoln city before establishing him self in the premier league, playing for Coventry City between 1996 and 1999. He signed for Norwich City in 2003 and scored 14 goals during the 2003 – 2004 season, a year that Norwich gained promotion in to the premiership. He was voted as the Norwich City player of the year at the end of the 2004 – 2005 season; however his fine performances could not help them stay in the premier league.
